Norton Community High School’s Advanced Art Students Present End-of-Year Exhibition at the Gloria A. Nelson Cultural Arts Center

Norton, Kansas, May 2024 – Norton County Community Foundation is excited to announce a new art exhibition at the Gloria A. Nelson Cultural Arts Center in the Heaton Building.

 

For the second year, the Norton Community High School’s Advanced Art Students were invited to present their work in the gallery. This year, eleven students are presenting their collections, which feature a variety of techniques and media including drawing, printmaking, photography, painting, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, and more. Exhibiting artists are: Rob Manning, Mackenzie Clydesdale, Jarrett Hagen, Eli Miller, Mareesa Hempler, Jeffrey Fick, Natalie Simmons, Tesah Stagemeyer, Ella Juenemann, Brynna Brown, and Corbin Puga.

 

The exhibition opened with a reception and awards ceremony from 6:00 – 7:30 PM on May 2nd. The exhibition features approximately 200 works of art and will be on view through June 10th. The exhibition can be viewed virtually on NCCF’s website, https://www.nortonccf.org/exhibitions. Several of the artworks are for sale. There is an Artist Contact list in the gallery for those interested.

 

The Gloria A. Nelson Cultural Arts Center is located on the main floor of the Heaton Building in downtown Norton, KS (112 S. Kansas Ave., Suite 203). Gallery hours are Monday - Thursday from 7:00 AM - 9:00 PM and Friday from 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Weekend viewings can be scheduled on request. There is never an admission fee.
